Fishing for pike in the midnight sun land , the river Angermanälven and the lakes in the surroundings of Gafsele are particulary rich in predators and are virtually free from any fishing pressure.Starting from May after the ice out , the pikes are hungry and the lures and baits that are casted to them are taken with brutality.

When the pikes are chasing baits fishes it is not uncommon to catch 10 to 15 or more pikes per day from 2 to 6/7 kilos and many big fishes over 10 kilos are taken every year .Perch is everywhere and is taking any lure proposed for pikes with ferocity , the average weight varies from 300 gr to 1.50 Kg .

In the nearby you also have small forest lakes where pikes , perches , graylings and trouts can be fished either by boat or using float tubes .

Accomodation is chalets in the fishing camp by the river and everything is made there to satisfy the guest .

Fishing boats with motors are available 150 m from the camp which allows you to go back fishing after the diner and fish under the midnight sun.

Gafsele is actually the place in Europe where you can catch the higher number of big pikes using surface lures !
