The Vindelälven river is one of the very best streams in Sweden for the grayling fishing.Every year , thousands of large graylings of 45 cm to more than 50 cm are caught in strech that runs from the village of Ammarnäs till downstream Kraddsele for over 50 kilometers in total surrounded by the lapish mountains.
The large trouts are taken on streamers and spinning  on the same streches as for the graylings in august/september .Some of the fishes can weight up to 6 kilos .

But is to be considered to be a bonus in complement of the standard fishing for graylings and regular trouts in the Tjulan river and the Vindalälven.
There are also some small and beautifull mountain lakes in the nearby where artic chars can be fished .
Accommodation is in the village of Amamrnäs in the fishing center or in chalets and some professional guides are available.

There is a fly only strech (special day licence ) with an extraodinary density of graylings and catch there 60 or more fish a day is not uncommon.

Ammarnäs is one of the best valued fishing area in Sweden with a high density of nice fish in a beautifull surounding.
